The NaTPmP is a microphone pre-amplifier
and phantom power supply specifically designed for use with loudspeaker
production testing equipment. There is 12V phantom powering for the
microphone and the voltage gain can be set in the range 240 to 4, ie 0dB to
-37dB. The pre-amplifier is compatible with the NaTKiT1 and particularly
suited to the Audio-Technica ATM33a microphone.
The NaTPmP has a substantial die-cast box. Mains connection is by an IEC connector and signal connections are by 3 pin XLR connectors. The fuse is externally accessible but gain setting is by an internal DIL switch to prevent accidental adjustment in use. The unit's input is electronically balanced but the output is 'single ended'.
INSTALLATION
Installation is merely a matter of
setting the gain using the internal 4 way DIL switch.
Please note that the male XLR connector is the pre-amplifier's output and it is NOT balanced. The pin identity is pin 2 live (positive polarity) and, 1 and 3 return (ie screen, shield or earth).
