Charsfield Horseshoes10/06/03  Charsfield Horseshoes

Again there was a faint air of chaos about Spadge, Goddess Steph, Matt and NaTCH as they reversed into the Horseshoes' car park.  Gargantuan servings of stir fry vegetables, and steak and kidney pie defeated them all, whilst on form London Pride (in suitably badged glasses) was enjoyed, Abbot and Adnams also being served.  Conversation included the unlikely fact that Spadge met the late Queen Mother by gate crashing a party.  No, we didn't believe it either but apparently it's true.  AfARs from Hugh, David (work commitments), and possibly others.  (Last visit 14/02/01)

13/05/03  Bradfield St George Fox & Hounds

Des' Dinners bore a striking resemblance to a rowdy Sunday school outing as Goddess Steph, Matt, John B & Spadge piled into NaTCH's car to travel through thundery downpours to Neil's new pub.  NaTCH had thought it would be nice if our visit were a surprise so of course Sally and Mia Louise were in Framlingham and Neil was cooking, but Neil did join us after serving some excellent food including beef and tomato curry.  The two beers on offer were 4.3% Grumblings(?) from a Hertfordshire brewery and something even stronger.  (The two racked cooking bitters hadn't cleared yet.)  Conversation included Broccoli Spears and why nobody won the mini-hifi in the raffle.  (First visit)

The Campsea D&D11/03/03  Campsea D&D

The D&D was surprisingly busy for a country pub at lunch time.  Substantial liver and onions with a suitable mountain of mash was served to NaTCH just as Spadge arrived who was served ham, egg and chips rapido.  Excellent Adnams, also available Woodforde's Wherry and Mardler, and usually Adnams Oyster.   There was conversation.  (Last visit 18/08/01)

The Vic's back door18/02/03  Earl Soham Vic

Another brilliantly successful Ladies Day even though Malcolm didn't get a spoon or any parmesan.  Lunchers were Goddess Steph with Rosie and daughter Zoë, one Bjornson Lady, John B, Matt, Malcolm (see above), new chums Pete and Jane, NaTCH and Richard V with two border terriers ... neither of whom bought a round:)  According to Matt the conversation was quite intellectual, actually, and included plan hatching to see Noel Coward in Colchester and Fred Dibnah in Felixstowe.  AfARs from Suzanna, a tearful Spadge, David, and Rob.  (Last visit 19/10/02)

The Brandeston Queen's pub sign14/01/03  Brandeston Queens

There was a last minute venue change because BarryfromtheBoytonBell's new pub, the Moats Tye Gardeners, is presently opening evenings only.  The Queens was serving at least four Adnams beers including the brain damaging 7% Tally Ho, described by the Norwegian landlord as almost a barley wine.  The menu is very imaginative if a tiny bit expensive and Spadge much liked the "steak in ale".  Conversation included Mollywotsit's Hierarchy of Needs and the pantomime outside The Station Sunday night.  (First visit)
