The
System Maintenance
window allows the engineer to change the NWin system parameters.
Engineer
- Password protects access to the engineer facilities.
The password can be up to 8 characters.
Supervisor
- Password protects access to the supervisor facilities.
The password can be up to 8 characters.
Should either or both of the passwords be lost the
Engineer can force entry by deleting the file 'NWin_Sys.txt'. This will reset the system
variables to the start up defaults. The default is no passwords.
Audio
Prompts - When set gives
the operator various audio prompts.
Dig
I/O Port - Sets the serial
port used for digital I/O. Available but not active yet.
Test
Dig - Checks
the wiring to the designated serial port.
During the test 'T' or 'RETURN' will appear briefly when appropriate short circuits
are applied to the relevant serial port. Only appears if a non-zero
Dig I/O Port has been set.
Not available yet.
Re-cal
All Seqs - When clicked resets all
measured response tests so the operator has to re-calibrate when selecting the
sequences that use them. You might use this facility if the mike has been
moved or something similar has changed.
Station
- Identifies the source in production and curve data files.
It is worth entering a name even if you have only one NWin test station because you will be able to identify the source of historical data
when you add further stations. Maximum length is 12 characters.
Amplifier
- The maximum
output voltage of your amp when driven by your soundboard. You
can enter it in the text box
or click Calibrate
which guides you through calibrating an external
power amp. The text box next to Calibrate
records the date and time of any
Amplifier change.
Soundboard
- The maximum
output voltage of your soundboard. You
can enter it in the text box
or click Calibrate
which guides you through calibrating the soundboard.
The text box next to Calibrate
records the date and time of any
Soundboard
change.
Reversed
Polarity - When set compensates for a polarity reversal somewhere in the
signal chain.
Operator
Time Out (mins) - Can be set in the range 0-30 minutes.
Not available yet.
Op
Fail Check -
When set and a unit fails, the operator is asked to confirm failure by the prompt
"Retest this unit". Available but not active yet.
