When
maintaining a test some parameters are common to all test types and some specific to the current test type.
All
Tests
A
pull down list showing the current test.
Active -
When set then Drive
(V) sets the voltage at the
soundboard's output. When not set then Drive
(V) sets the voltage at the associated power
amplifier's output.
Fail Exit
- When set if a test fails then the sequence ends there. Time is saved because testing ends as soon as a
failure occurs. Although time is saved the abandoned tests could aid fault diagnosis.
Delay
(s) - Can be set in the
range 0.0001-1.999 seconds. It's effect varies with test type.
Drive
(V) - Sets the drive voltage to the test unit.
Run
- When clicked executes a test with
the current parameters.
Sweep
and Sine Tests Only
Operator
Decision - When set
the pass/fail decision is made by the operator.
Low
(Hz) - Sets
the start frequency of a sweep. It can be set in the range from 20Hz to
just less than 20kHz but the higher frequency will depend on the soundboard
being used.
High
(Hz) - Sets
the end frequency of a sweep. It can be set in the range from just above
20Hz to 20kHz although the higher frequency will depend on the soundboard being
used.
Duration
(s) - Sets the duration
in seconds.
Sweep
and Polarity Tests Only
Re-Run
- Like Run
when clicked executes a test with
the current parameters but first clears the graphical display on the secondary
test window.
Sine
Tests Only
Yes/No
- Sets whether a pass is decided by the
operator responding yes or
no. Only enabled if Operator
Decision is set.
Sweep
Type - Sets the the sweep
type from No Sweep, Log/Lin, and/or Up/Down.
