Start SigJenny, check that Frequency 1 (Hz) is 1000, Sweep is unchecked, Sine is selected, and the Sweep tab is visible. Click the Mute checkbox and you should hear tone. The displayed sine wave on the right will change from red to green. You can adjust the volume with the Out slider and the graphical display will change with it. Click on the Frequency 1 (Hz) text box and then press Ctrl+PgUp. The frequency will change to 1100 Hz and the sound will go up in pitch. Press Ctrl+W. The selected option will change from Sine to Triangle, the graphic will change to a negative ramp sawtooth, and the sound will become more 'edgy'. Press and hold down (%)'s spin up button. The sound will 'phase'. Quieten SigJenny down by clicking on the Mute checkbox again. If you've got a microphone connected there's more interesting stuff you can do here. |
